Job Description:
Support, design, document, build, test, implement and routinely
update a Citrix VDI infrastructure. In addition, ensure systems
have all security updates applied at the hypervisor, server and VM
OS layers in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with internal
architects, project managers, developers, and external vendors to
determine needs, design and make recommendations. Troubleshoot,
analyze, diagnose and engage appropriate technical resources to
resolve functional issues. Work independently to provide prompt and
professional resolution to post deployment VDI imaging and
functional issues. Optimize Citrix performance, scalability,
security, high-availability, monitoring, connectivity, group policy
and usage reporting.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering or related discipline
? Minimum of 8 years of IT workstation experience
? Minimum of 3 years of Citrix VDI experience
? XenApp 6.5 ? 7.5
? XenDesktop 5.6 ? 7.5
? Provisioning Services 6.1
? Experience with maintaining XenApp server and Windows 7 gold
images
? NetScaler MPX and VPX HA pairs
? NetScaler Gateway configuration
? Load-balanced VIPs
? Citrix User Profile Management
? Microsoft Folder Redirection
? Experience with upgrades, migrations, health check and
remediation including performance and capacity management.
? Understanding of security and compliance trends and standards
? Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012 server environments,
System Center Configuration Manager 2007/2012 R2, including domain
management, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies and RDS
? Must be a team player, good communicator and experienced problem
solver
? Knowledgeable in networking and security practices
Preferred Additional Skills:
? Creating and using System Center Configuration Manager 2007/2012
(SCCM) advertisements and packages
? Familiarity with security and account elevation techniques to
eliminate administrative permissions on end-user workstations
? Wyse or PowerShell scripting experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline
