training.We are looking to fill the role of a structural
engineering project manager for our Safety practice. The project
manager coordinates and communicates with clients as well lead
teams of engineers, designers, and installers to deliver projects
and foster client relationships.Pay: $90,000 -
150,000/yearSTRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
- Leveraging technical background of applicable codes, standards,
and safety systems, oversee production of construction documents
and manage projects from design through installation.
- Maintain resource assignments using an enterprise resource
program.
- Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules for new
projects.
- Manage budget of assigned projects.
- Maintain and develop client relationships to ensure the client
is kept informed on project progress.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure LJB Standards and
applicable code requirements.
- Assist in overall group effort to mentor engineers, safety
professionals, and designers to develop and grow the team.
- Frequent travel to project sites to understand customers' needs
and develop recommended scopes of work (potentially up to
30%).Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
- Engage subconsultants and subcontractors as needed to
supplement in-house capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
required.
- Strong leadership skills and desire to work as a team to
support not only your project but those of other project
managers.STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL
CREDENTIALS:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or safety, master's degree
preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and/or Certified Safety
Professional (CSP).Qualifications:
- 5+ years' engineering experience required in new and existing
buildings utilizing steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design
(Cold-form and post tensioned design experience is a plus).
- Experience in fall protection system design preferred.LJB Inc.
