Job Description:

Client is seeking a skilled engineering assistant to join their engineering team. This position will be involved in every aspect of the manufacturing process from prototype to production.

The chosen candidate will collaborate daily with the engineering manager, sales team and production group to support all functions of the engineering team. This will cover a broad array of duties including documenting prototype parts, manufacturing issue resolution, creating assembly fixtures, CNC programming, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, and drafting. This person must have a strong AutoCAD foundation, with knowledge of 3D modeling preferred.

Duties:

? Document first run and prototype parts

? Transition new parts into the production system

? Resolve manufacturing issues and discrepancies

? Maintain databases, spreadsheets and technical knowledge

? Create assembly drawings, documentation and work instructions

? Identifies and verifies specifications

? Create CNC programs

? Trouble shoot CNC program issues

? Process engineering change notices and production change notices

Qualifications:

? Must be proficient in AutoCAD with 3D and solid modeling experience preferred.

? Knowledge of mechanical drafting techniques and principles.

? Experience with engineering design and analysis.

? Self-motivated and well organized.

? Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.

? Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.

? Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.

? High School Diploma required, some college preferred.

? Vocational training in AutoCAD, CAD Drafting and mechanical drawing.
