Position Details:
--- Title: Field Engineer - FTS Team (Non-seasonal)
--- Location: Orlando, FL (in reality, you can anywhere in the
state of Florida, Orlando is ideal but pretty much anywhere in the
state can work; those living in the Kings Bay, GA area would be
fine as well).
--- Compensation: First Year Compensation = $123.5k - 170k
plus, daily per diem (while traveling), plus All Travel Rewards
(all hotel and flight rewards)
--- Base Payrate $85k - 95k (Total Hrs Worked annually is somewhere
in the 1900 - 2000 hrs)
--- Average OT $30k - 65k (Range 500 - 1000 hrs annually of OT)
--- Bonus Plan $8.5k - 9.5k average
plus, daily per diem (while traveling), plus All Travel Rewards
(all hotel and flight rewards)
--- Per Diem Rate $55 - 65/day, depending on the state where
working (based on Cost of Living)
--- Average Annual Hours 1900 hours

Position Description:
Service Engineers travel to power plants across the U.S. and are
responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to some of the largest
and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world
including gas turbines, steam turbines and generators.
Your Responsibilities
--- The Field Service Engineers travel to power plants across the
U.S. where "we" are responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to
some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation
machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines and
generators.
o Combustion Turbine Commissioning field service engineer is
responsible for providing field technical services for Company
combustion turbine-generators and associated auxiliary systems
including commissioning, fact finding, troubleshooting, combustion
dynamics & emissions tuning, and periodic support of new unit
installations. SERE
o Metrology field service engineer is responsible for providing
metrology and alignment field services for Company-generators.
These services will leverage CAD and GD&T experience utilizing
portable CMM equipment and long and short-range scanners.
o Modal Analysis / Vibration field service engineer is responsible
for providing modal analysis, vibration analysis, and balancing
field services for Company steam and combustion
turbine-generators.
o Steam Turbine Commissioning field service engineer is responsible
for providing field technical services for Company steam
turbine-generators and their associated auxiliary systems including
commissioning, fact finding, troubleshooting, valve stroking and
timing, and periodic support of new unit installations.
--- Responsible for ensuring that working conditions are always
safe. Travel with little to no advance notice to Company customer
sites throughout the US and internationally. Up to 80% travel
required. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the
ability to lead a crew of mechanics and interface with multiple
levels of customer organization.
--- Good verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently
speak, write, and read in English.
--- Complete and submit detailed reports covering all job activity.
Have flexibility to work overtime based on workload and can work
both independently and within a team environment with the ability
to lead the team. Innate desire for process improvement and sharing
of lessons learned.
--- You will serve as the primary customer contact during outages;
ensure repairs are made in a timely & accurate manner.
--- While traveling, you will work extended working hours of up to
12-14 hours per day including weekends/holidays.
Requirements: Candidates must have strong backgrounds in heavy
mechanical maintenance with good leadership. Candidates with
college degrees are preferred. Candidates with good Project
Management skills are preferred. Candidates must have excellent
interpersonal skills, strong customer facing skills, and a general
desire for travel and field service.
