The Opportunity:The School of Teacher Education (STE) in the
College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) at the
University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a
9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position in the
Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) program on the UCF
main campus, anticipated to begin Spring 2025.The successful
candidate will contribute to STE and the Early Childhood
Development and Education program's mission by teaching and serving
as the child life specialist. The STE is a collegial environment
supporting outstanding students. STE includes premier academic
programs known for excellence in research, teaching, and service to
students.
Primary responsibilities:
Our ECDE program offers degrees at both undergraduate and graduate
levels. The B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Education
(ECDE) program at UCF prepares students to impact a diverse
population of young children and families using research-based,
developmentally appropriate practices through two tracks, a teacher
certification, and a child development track that also houses a
specialization in child life. The M.S. program in ECDE is designed
to meet the needs of professionals who want to work with young
children and their families, which we hope to develop to house a
specialization in Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). Our
programs deliver relevant, rigorous course work, and related
